Our Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees consists of volunteers from the community and it operates independently from the Board of Education.
Margaret has focused her career on education and youth development, working for one of the first local education foundations, previously known as the Mon Valley Education Consortium, and helped to start St. Louis Partners AmeriCorps, which partnered with the St. Louis City School District and the St. Louis Police Department. She served as the admissions director for the Graduate Program at the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University. Margaret is continuing this focus working with high school seniors on their college admissions essays. She has lived in Randolph since 1998 and has served on the board of the Randolph Education Foundation since its inception in 2009. She was an active member of the Center Grove PTO, serving on its board for 2 years. Margaret received a B.A. from Middlebury College and a master’s degree from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University. She is part of the Executive Committee of the Princeton University Alumni Association and most recently served as the Association’s treasurer.
Randi joined the board as Treasurer in 2010, and brings over 20 years of financial experience and executive leadership. A long-time resident of Randolph, Randi has two children in the school district. She holds a B.S. in Accounting and French from Rutgers University, and is a Certified Public Accountant. Randi is President of Clearly Branded.
For the past ten years Paola has focused her career in the field of educational research, holding leadership positions at Columbia University, SUNY Rockland Community College and currently, Educational Testing Service. She started her career in the field of Corporate Affairs, Public Relations and Communications in Colombia, where she worked for British American Tobacco and Microsoft. Paola holds a B.A. in Political Science from Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia and a M.S. in Journalism from Columbia University in New York. She moved to Randolph in 2007 with her husband and her son. She is actively involved in the Randolph community volunteering at the Fernbrook Elementary School, the Randolph Middle School, the PTO and the Resurrection Parish. Paola joined the REF Board in the summer of 2013.
Fran joined the REF Board of Trustees in 2012. Fran developed the REF Next Practices Grant Program which funds innovative educational programs, co-chairs the Sponsorship Committee, and was chairperson of the 2015 Randolph Rock Stars Celebration. Fran has 20+ years of experience as a clinical social worker and development associate in nonprofit and for-profit human services and health care. Fran has Masters in Social Work (Administration Concentration) from Fordham University and an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Loyola University of Maryland. Fran and her husband Rich have resided in Randolph since 2002 and are proud parents of two boys, ages 10 and 12, who attend Fernbrook Elementary and Randolph Middle School. Fran has been an active volunteer with Newcomers and Neighbors Club of Randolph, Fernbrook PTO, and Resurrection Parish.
Elizabeth grew up in Clifton, NJ and graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. She worked at Hoffmann-La Roche Inc. in Nutley for 15 years in Human Resources and Finance. She and her family decided to move to Randolph, in 2007 to seek a better education for their children. She then decided to stay home after her third child and take care of their children. She has always volunteered her time at the Center Grove Elementary School. She was an active PTO member from 2013-2015. She has volunteered for Randolph Education Foundation from 2011 and became a board member 2015.
Maggie was born and raised in Randolph, NJ, and returned to her childhood home 14 years ago in order to raise her children in the same great community. A proud graduate of Randolph High School, she went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts degree with high honors in Journalism and Mass Media from Rutgers University. She is an active member of the community, volunteering her time as a Girl Scout leader, PTO board member, and fundraising committee member for Homeless Solutions. She joined the REF board in 2013. A seasoned public relations professional with more than 20 years of experience, Maggie has held management positions with Verizon Wireless, Pearson Education, and Edelman Public Relations Worldwide. She currently offers her services as a public relations freelancer.
Amy H. Soled
Amy joined the REF in 2009. She is a graduate of Wellesley College and Rutgers School of Law. She practiced matrimonial law at Wilentz, Goldman, & Spitzer before joining the faculty of Rutgers Law School where she teaches Legal Analysis, Writing, & Research Skills. Amy was an active member in Shongum School’s PTO, running the cultural affair programs at the school. For several years, she also served as President of her synagogue’s Board of Education. Amy and her husband, Jay, moved to Randolph twenty years ago. They have three children, Derek (RHS ’12), Amanda (RHS ’14), and Heather (RHS ’16).
